I can’t stress how important is it to have a email list for your small business. A email list is one of the most effective ways to reach your customers. I know people are quick to forget about the good old reliable email due to the rise of social media but I’m going to urge you to continue using this old form of marketing. Marketing is one of the most important parts of running a small business. How are people supposed to throw money in your direction if they never heard of the product your selling? There’s no denying that TV commercials, ad space in a magazine or google ads are a sure way for you to get noticed but its expensive. This is where email lists really come in handy. You can send email campaigns to customers about your product and it will cost you next to nothing.

2. Better than social media

I know, I know. Everybody and there mother has a new business and swear that social media is the only thing you need as a marketing tool. This is not true. Yes, social media is a good way to advertise the product your selling but email marketing is still a more effective tool. People are not always on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram but they’re always checking their email. You also have more flexibility when you send a email to your customers. You can send pictures, a link to your products, and write as much as you need.

If there’s one thing that people are always on it’s their phones. I read some where that 62% of people have their email accounts connected to their phone. So what does that mean to you? It means your email campaign will get to the intended person faster than most marketing tools.

Sending a email campaign to your email list is one of the fastest ways to reach your customers. This is because most people have there email connected to their phone and they’re constantly checking their email. In fact, as I write this list I have my email open just in case someone sends me an important email that i need to respond to.


5. Easy Tracking

One thing that I  love about email campaigns is that you can track what works and what doesn’t. For example, you can track what parts of the email you customer clicked. You can also see how effective the email was in general and compare it to past email campaigns. This will help you continue to do what works and what doesn’t.
